Disinfection-Instructor Squad of the Front

The Disinfection and Instruction Detachment of the Front (DIOF) is a military unit that existed in the Red Army during the Great Patriotic War.

DIOF units were created in 1942 with the aim of combating epidemics and infectious diseases among troops. The tasks of the DIOF included sanitizing the personnel of units and units, disinfecting premises, uniforms and property. The units also carried out sanitary and educational work among soldiers on the prevention of infectious diseases.

The personnel of the DIOF were formed from military doctors and political workers. The units were equipped with special equipment for disinfection and sanitization. As a rule, the detachment included automobile equipment.

After the end of the First World War, DIOF continued its activities in various countries, including the USSR, USA and Great Britain. They were engaged in the fight against infectious diseases and training military personnel in hygiene and safety rules.

Today, DIOF continues its work in different countries of the world, including Russia, where they are engaged in the prevention of infectious diseases and training of military personnel.
