Distichiasis

Distichiasis (syn.: polystomiasis; ancient Greek δίστηχος - double; lat. disco - spread out) - congenital fusion of eyelashes (usually in the lower half of the eyelid), looking like a bunch of often 2-4 straight hairs, turning the edge of the eyelash bed into narrow ledge Most often, this condition is noted in infancy, usually disappearing by two years.
