Properties and application

Contraindications

  1. Hypersensitivity to doxorubicin, severe dysfunction of the liver, kidneys, heart, hematopoiesis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, pregnancy, breastfeeding.

  2. Prescribe with caution to patients over 70 years of age.

Side effects

  1. Hematopoietic inhibition, cardiotoxicity, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomatitis, alopecia, allergic reactions.

Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Overdose

Symptoms: severe inhibition of hematopoiesis, damage to the mucous membranes.
Treatment: symptomatic, transfusion of blood and its components, use of colony-stimulating factors.

Interaction

Increases the toxicity of other antitumor and radiation therapy. Weakens the effect of vaccines. Incompatible with heparin, dexamethasone and other drugs.

During the treatment period, it is necessary to monitor blood counts, liver function, and heart function. It is advisable to carry out dental procedures before starting therapy. Application requires compliance with aseptic rules.

You can start a second course after hematopoiesis has been restored. Prescribe with caution in case of reduced bone marrow reserve. Do not mix with other antitumor drugs.
