Doxilek: description of the drug and its use
Doxilek, or calcium dobesilate, is an angioprotector produced by Lek DD from Slovenia. This drug is widely used to treat various diseases of blood vessels and microcirculation.
Doxilek is available in the form of capsules, each of which contains 500 mg of the active ingredient - calcium dobesilate. Calcium Dobesilate is synonymous with Calcium Dobesilate, Doxie-Chem and Doxium.
The drug is recommended for the treatment of the following diseases:
- Diabetic microangiopathy and retinopathy
- Trophic ulcers
- Glomerulosclerosis
- Atherosclerosis of the vessels of the lower extremities
- Varicose veins and phlebitis of superficial veins
- Haemorrhoids
- Hemodynamic disorders of arteriovenous origin
- Peripheral congestive edema
- Microcirculation disorders
- Steroid vasculitis
- Bronchial asthma (hormone dependent)
Despite the effectiveness of Doxilek, it has contraindications. The drug should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to calcium dobesylate, bleeding while taking anticoagulants and during pregnancy.
Side effects from taking Doxilec are rare, and mainly manifest themselves in the form of dyspeptic disorders and skin rashes, but before starting to take the drug, you should consult your doctor.
There is no information on the interaction of Doxilek with other drugs, and there is no data on overdose or special instructions for the use of the drug.
