Therapeutic dose
A therapeutic dose is a dose of a drug administered to a patient to treat a disease. This is not the same as the prescribed dose (recommended dose). The dose should be selected by the doctor individually for each patient and should provide the optimal amount of the drug to achieve a positive effect of therapy.
Effective treatment does not always give a positive result, and the patient may stop taking it on his own, considering himself cured. However, the disease may cause a relapse and require a new course of antimicrobial drug
