Dr. Theiss Nazolin is a medication used to reduce swelling of the nasopharyngeal mucosa. It belongs to the group of drugs that stimulate alpha and beta adrenergic receptors. Dr. Theiss Nazoline is available as a 0.1% nasal spray. Its active substance is xylometazoline, which constricts blood vessels and reduces swelling of the nasopharyngeal mucosa. The drug is indicated for the treatment of acute allergic rhinitis, hay fever, sinusitis and otitis media, as well as for preparing the patient for diagnostic procedures in the nasal passages.
Despite the effectiveness of Dr. Theiss Nazolin, there are a number of contraindications to its use. It is not recommended to use the drug in case of hypersensitivity to xylometazoline, arterial hypertension, tachycardia, severe atherosclerosis, glaucoma, atrophic rhinitis, hyperthyroidism, pregnancy and lactation.
Dr. Theiss Nazoline may cause some side effects such as mucosal irritation, burning, tingling, sneezing, dryness and hypersecretion.
