Enostosis

Enostoses are growths of bone tissue in or around a joint. Enostotic masses appear for various reasons due to joint injuries, after operations or infections. There are many enostotic forms, including single elements and clusters. Injuries cause the appearance of fusiform or spongy enostasis, and infections provoke the formation of avascular spherical formations. Congenital anomalies in children are associated with improper fusion of tissues, which causes multiple protrusions or one large spine to appear.
