Epidurit Non-purulent

Non-purulent epiduritis is inflammation of the dura mater without violating its integrity.

Non-purulent epiduritis, or arachnoiditis, is a chronic neuroinfectious disease caused by a purulent infection that develops when there is perforation (breakthrough) in the paracerebral sinuses without penetration of pus into the cranial cavity. This dangerous disease usually affects the meninges, causing the meningitis complex. Non-fungal epiduritis is a common complication of influenza and occurs especially often during epidemics, when chronic post-influenza infection often occurs, often with through-to-the-end damage to the cranial plates, accompanied by a breakthrough of unrecognized necrotic crusts into the subarachnoid space. This explains the higher incidence of malignant non-purulent epidemics
