Epithelioma

Epithelioma is a tumor that develops from epithelial tissue. Epithelial tissues cover the surface of the skin and mucous membranes, and also line the internal organs and systems of the body. Epitheliomas can occur anywhere on the body, but most often they are found on the skin and mucous membranes.

Epitheliomas can be benign or malignant. Benign epitheliomas usually do not pose a health risk and do not require treatment. However, some benign epitheliomas can develop into malignant tumors.

Malignant epitheliomas are more dangerous because they can spread to other organs and tissues, causing metastases. Treatment of malignant epithelioma includes surgical removal of the tumor, chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

To prevent epithelioma, it is necessary to monitor the condition of the skin and mucous membranes. It is important to avoid injury and damage to the skin, and to have regular checkups with your doctor.
