False Cervical Erosion

Cervical erosion is a lesion of the cells of the stratified squamous epithelium, which is located on the surface of the woman’s cervix. This disease is often called “erosion,” although in fact this abnormal manifestation superficially resembles a small defect in the mucous membrane. Erosion occurs as a result of various reasons, such as injury, infection, hormonal imbalance, etc.
