Esophagitis Hemorrhagic

Hemorrhagic esophagitis

Introduction

Hemorrhagic esophagitis (HE) is an inflammation of the esophageal mucosa, which is accompanied by hemorrhages. It is caused by the same microorganism as acute respiratory viral infection (ARVI), namely coronaviruses that live in human cells. The problem with the hemorrhagic form is that the virus infects the epithelial cells of the gastrointestinal tract, which disrupts blood clotting and, as a result, small capillary hemorrhages appear.

A person in whose body these viruses are located is considered a carrier without external manifestations.
