**Fasces.**
The fascia system forms cases for muscles, blood vessels and nerves. The existence of an isolated fascial layer is possible exclusively for the sheath of the vaginal process of the rectus abdominis muscle and the splanchnic plate. The aponeurotic layer does not require a specific case: its bundles and connective tissue fibers are part of the corresponding case of the next fascia. However, this situation is an exception.
**Fascial (fascium, fascia)** From lat. fascia – bandage, tape – a widespread concept in human anatomy.
Fascia can be any connective tissue formation, such as a layer of subcutaneous fat, individual bundles of fascia or fibrous tendon, or a bursa. Typically, fascia refers to the following formations:
* aponeurotic plates containing parts of numerous muscles; * tendon areas separating muscles; * dense connective membranes or membranes covering neurovascular channels and organs; * joint capsules with subsequent fibrous tension.
