Förster syndrome is a rare immune system disorder that can lead to complications in organ transplantation. This disease is characterized by the body starting to attack its own organs and tissues due to an overreaction of the immune system.

Causes and symptoms of Förster syndrome

The causes of Förster syndrome are not fully understood, but scientists associate its development with genetic factors. Environmental factors such as infection and stress also play an important role in the occurrence of the syndrome. Symptoms may appear months or even years after the organ transplant. Manifestations of the syndrome can be very different - from minor to severe. These include:
