**Story:**

It never occurred to anyone to operate on a foreign body near the hepatic ducts inside the liver if it did not block these ducts. Volkmann made several attempts to remove the stony formation from the hepatic canal by internal expansion or destruction of the bursa and performed his operation to remove echinoccal cysts called achymoxae. Basically, he tried to restore the canal with a piece of scar tissue, i.e.
