Follicle Lymphatic

Lymphatic follicle (folliculus lymphaticus) - also known as a lymphoid nodule. This is a collection of lymphoid tissue consisting of B lymphocytes, T lymphocytes and dendritic cells. Lymphatic follicles are located in lymphoid organs such as lymph nodes, spleen, tonsils and Peyer's patches of the intestine.

In the lymph follicles, an immune response to antigens occurs. Here, B lymphocytes turn into plasma cells that produce antibodies. T lymphocytes activate B lymphocytes and participate in cellular immunity. B-lymphocytes also form and mature in the follicles.

Thus, lymphatic follicles play an important role in the immune system, being the site of the development and implementation of humoral and cellular immunity.
