Fontanelle Pterygoid

Pterygoid fontanel? (foramen alveolare anterius; lat. foramen - hole, opening for the fontanel + alveus - alvea, cavity in the bone; rostrum) - this is a paired structure of two sinuses in the mandibular fossa, which provide odontogenic innervation and venous outflow into the alveolar part of the upper jaw, upper and the posterior part of the middle cranial fossa. All canals in the pterygoid fossae are anastomosed through the infraorbital si
