Gartner's cyst Hoda

Gardner's cyst (ductus Gartneri sialocele) is a rare pathology that occurs due to retention of salivary gland secretions in the Gardner's canal. This canal connects the minor salivary glands with the oral cavity. The cyst is a mucous-nodular formation filled with liquid secretion, up to 2 cm in diameter. The development of a Gardner's cyst occurs over several months and is sometimes accompanied by unpleasant symptoms such as painful swallowing, bad breath and accumulation of saliva in the mouth. It is recommended to immediately consult a dentist, as a cyst can lead to serious consequences.
