Infundibulectomy or Infundibuk Removal Infundibulectomy is a procedure for removing, through an abdominal incision, a protrusion of skin tissue known as the infundibuk. The infundibuc is a pouch-shaped fold of skin around the navel. This procedure is used in some cases to reduce the weight of the umbilical sac in cases where it is swollen, stretched, or is bothering the patient. This may be due to kidney disease and other conditions that can lead to stretching and dysfunction of the infundibur. In this case, the patient may experience pain, discomfort, or even leakage from the abdominal sac. If simple surgery does not help, infundibulectomy may be performed
