Gastrocele

Gastrocele is a condition in which the stomach protrudes beyond its normal position in the abdominal cavity. This is a form of hernia that can occur due to various reasons.

A gastrocele can be caused by weakness of the muscles that support the stomach in its place in the abdomen. This may occur due to stretching of these muscles, which can occur during pregnancy, obesity or due to age-related changes. Gastroceles can also be caused by trauma or a surgical procedure.

Symptoms of a gastrocele may include stomach pain, belching, nausea, vomiting, uncontrollable gas, and even difficulty swallowing. In some cases, a gastrocele can lead to a feeling of heaviness in the upper abdomen.

Diagnosis of a gastrocele may require various tests, such as gastroesophageal reflux imaging (GERT), computed tomography (CT), or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Treatment for gastrocele may include conservative methods such as lifestyle changes and exercises that help strengthen the abdominal muscles. However, in some cases, surgery may be required to return the stomach to its normal position and fix it there.

In general, gastrocele is not a serious condition, but its symptoms can be very unpleasant and interfere with daily life. If you suspect you have a gastrocele, see your doctor for diagnosis and treatment.

At the same time, the symptoms are similar - gagging, the desire to eat and drink a little without stopping. The only difference is the presence of painful sensations
