Gaustad syndrome is a disease characterized by sleep-disordered breathing with repeated brief pauses in breathing and frequent snoring sounds. Symptoms of Gaustad syndrome: - feeling unwell during the day; - morning weakness, fatigue, sweating; - irritability, aggressiveness; - increased heart rate; - dizziness and disturbances of consciousness; - pain in the chest area after waking up. However, the main symptom is prolonged snoring, which becomes stronger during an attack. During apnea, there is a decrease in oxygen delivery to the brain, sleep disturbance and general condition occur.
