Gedelix is ​​a medication used for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, such as acute and chronic bronchitis, tracheobronchitis, bronchial asthma, bronchiectasis, bronchospasm, difficult sputum production and/or pathological increase in its viscosity, cough (including . dry). It belongs to the group of drugs that stimulate expectoration.

The main active ingredient is ivy leaf extract in a 1:1 ratio. 100 ml of syrup contains 2 g of extract, and 1 ml of drops contains 0.1 g of extract (1 ml = 30 drops).

Gedelix is ​​not recommended for use in case of hypersensitivity to the drug. No side effects have been identified even with prolonged use, for example, with bronchitis. There is also no data on the interaction of the drug with other medications or on overdose.

It should be noted that 5 ml of syrup contains 1.75 g of sorbitol (0.15 XE). Since Gedelix does not contain sugar or alcohol, it can be used by patients with diabetes and patients who must avoid alcohol. Possible turbidity, the appearance of sediment and/or a slight change in the taste of the drug is not an obstacle to use and does not reduce the therapeutic effect.
