Hexaliz: description, application and features of the drug
Hexalize is an antiseptic drug used to treat infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract. It is produced in France by the laboratories of Bouchard-Recordati and Doms Adrian. The international name of the drug is Hexaliz.
Dosage forms of Hexalyse are sublingual tablets and lozenges. Each lozenge contains 5 mg biclotymol, 5 mg lysozyme hydrochloride and 5 mg enoxolone.
The drug is used for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, pharynx and larynx caused by microorganisms sensitive to biclotymol, lysozyme and enoxolone. It is also used for the local treatment of inflammatory and infectious diseases of the nasopharynx, such as acute and chronic pharyngitis, pharyngolaryngitis, tonsillitis, conditions after tonsillectomy, glossitis.
The drug has some contraindications. It should not be prescribed to children under 6 years of age, as well as to patients with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. During pregnancy and lactation, Hexaliz is prescribed only for strict indications.
One of the possible side effects of Hexaliz is local allergic reactions and dysbiosis of the oral cavity with the risk of spreading a bacterial or fungal infection. Concomitant use of other topical oral medications should be avoided.
There is no data on an overdose of Hexaliz, but when prescribing the drug to patients with diabetes, you need to know that the tablets contain sugar.
