Zanjabeel - ginger

Essence.
Ginger is famous. It is similar in nature to pepper, but it does not have its rarefied quality. Ginger can be corrosive due to its excess moisture, so its ability to warm is longer than that of pepper. This is also explained by the density of ginger, as is the case with cress, mustard and tapsia.

Nature.
Hot at the limit of the third degree, dry in the second; Ginger has excess moisture which causes it to produce more seeds.

Actions and properties.
The warmth of ginger is very significant, but it warms only after some time due to its inherent excess moisture, but its warming ability is great. Ginger softens and resolves swelling. If thickly boiled juice is prepared from ginger, then honey takes away some of its excess moisture, causing the ginger to dry out more.

Organs of the head.
Ginger strengthens memory and removes moisture from the areas around the head and throat.

Organs of the eye.
Ginger, in powder or drink form, clears up darkening of the eyes caused by moisture.

Nutritional organs.
Ginger promotes digestion and is suitable for cold conditions in the liver and stomach; it absorbs moisture in the stomach and liquids that appear in it from eating fruits.

Eruption organs.
Ginger stimulates lust and slightly softens the stomach. The Khuzistani says: “No, it fixes it,” but I’ll say: it happens from indigestion, and if viscous juice slips through.

Poisons.
Ginger helps against the poison of reptiles.
