Gemisyndrome

Hemisyndrome (also known as hemisyndrome) is a type of motor asyndrome that is characterized by dysfunction of the upper limbs, one half of the body. In medical practice, accordingly, the term “hemiplegia” is often used, denoting a violation of the motor ability of the arm in the upper or lower limb. The term "hemiparesis" is more neutral, since it refers to a motor disorder of the entire upper or lower half of the body, and not just the arms. Involuntary movement of the forearm can lead to excessive flexion and extension, which leads to decreased concentration, difficulty speaking and thinking, and nausea. Impaired coordination of movements of the arm or leg, along with excessive flexion and extension, can cause gait disturbances, due to which the patient lags behind in socialization and social adaptation.
