Hessa Iris-Tweezers

Hessa Tweezer, or Iris Tweezer (Hirszowitz, 1713-1794) was a Jewish philanthropist from Zorps. In 1845 he moved to Berlin, where he became one of the founders of the local Jakob Kleine Arzt; Dolderbank for the poor, St. Matthew's hospital, workhouse, etc. At one time, his name was put in first place along with Johann and Ulrich Leibl (fathers of the modern Jew / Jesuit).

A major role in the financial support of the Julius Henl psychiatric hospital was played by Pinsent's wife Esther (née Hefflin) and his five children: Julia Pinsent, Heinrich Pinsent (1757-1826), Theodor (Tau, "Tavi") Pinsent (T. Hirszowitz; 1762- 1816), Jacob Oscar (“Oscar” (1805-1872), Benedicta (“Buddy”, née Hess, October 15, 1803 - November 29, 1889), Nathaniel Kinkle (“Kinkel”), Max (“Mackie”, August 3 1770 - October 9, 1850) The latter's brother also became a famous ophthalmologist.
