Composition - Active substance - econazole nitrate.
Indications for use: Dermatomycosis of smooth skin, dermatophytosis of the feet, cutaneous candidiasis, lichen versicolor, onychomycosis. In gynecological practice - vulvovaginal candidiasis (thrush), colpitis, fungal balanitis (in a sexual partner), mycoses complicated by superinfection with gram-positive bacteria.
Contraindications - Hypersensitivity. Use during pregnancy and lactation: - Use of the drug during pregnancy is possible only in cases where the potential benefit to the mother outweighs the possible risk to the fetus. - If necessary, use of the drug during lactation should resolve the issue of stopping breastfeeding.
Side effects - Local reactions: irritation, burning and itching sensation, redness of the skin, rash; with prolonged use of cream and powder - hyperpigmentation and atrophic changes in the skin. Suppositories and solution: when using the drug, local irritation (burning sensation, itching) or sensitization may occur, as well as spasm of the pelvic muscles, skin rashes and headache. In these cases, the doctor should consider stopping the use of this drug and prescribing another treatment. If, after using the drug, side effects occur that are not listed in these instructions, you should report them to your doctor.

Special instructions - The drug should be used only for topical use. Cream and powder: to prevent relapse of candidiasis and dermatomycosis of the legs and torso, treatment is required for at least 2 weeks, and for dermatophytosis of the feet - at least 1 month; If there is no effect within the specified time frame, therapy should be stopped and the diagnosis reconsidered. Suppositories and solution: if the standard 3-day course for vaginal candidiasis is insufficiently effective, it can be continued for 3 days and a repeat course after 10 days. During menstrual bleeding, suppositories are administered intravaginally according to the usual regimen. For vulvovaginal mycoses, treatment of the sexual partner is also mandatory. When the first symptoms indicating hypersensitivity or irritation appear, econazole should be discontinued. Avoid contact of the drug with the eyes.
