Hypertension Arterial Essential

Essential arterial hypertension is a chronic disease characterized by a persistent increase in blood pressure without a clearly identified cause.

Essential hypertension, or primary hypertension, is the most common form of hypertension and occurs in 90-95% of patients with high blood pressure.

The cause of the disease is considered to be a violation of the regulation of vascular tone and a violation of water-salt metabolism. Risk factors include: age over 65 years, obesity, smoking, stress, physical inactivity, hereditary predisposition.

Treatment of essential hypertension is aimed at normalizing blood pressure through lifestyle changes and drug therapy to prevent complications from the cardiovascular system.
