Skin histiocytoma

A cutaneous histiocyte is a tumor of the skin that results from the uncontrolled growth of connective tissue cells. This disease can occur in people of all ages, and is usually associated with a hereditary predisposition.

Skin histiocytes appear as nodules or papules on the skin, which can vary in size and shape. They may be yellowish or red in color and are often itchy or painful. These tumors usually occur in areas with the thinnest layer of skin, such as the palms, neck and face.

It is important to note that skin histiocytes are not considered cancerous, meaning they do not spread to other organs and tissues. However, they can be quite painful and require surgical removal. In addition, in rare cases, histiocytocytes can develop into malignant skin tumors.
