Glomus carotid
Glomus carotid (Latin name - *Glomus caroticium*) is a typical pathology affecting the veins of the internal carotid artery. Glomus (Latin glomus “sponge”, English “little blood vessel”) are macrophage-like organisms discovered in 1868 by the German pathologist Jacob Hildebrandt and mentioned in his book.
