Golubchina Method

The Golubchin method is a method of labor anesthesia developed by the Soviet gynecologist Sergei Borisovich Golubchin in 1948. The method is based on the use of nitrous oxide and oxygen mixed with carbon dioxide and ether.

Golubchin was the first to use nitrous oxide as an anesthetic for childbirth. He conducted experiments on animals and came to the conclusion that this gas could be used to relieve pain during childbirth.

In 1950, Golubchin proposed using a mixture of nitrous oxide, oxygen and carbon dioxide as a pain reliever for women during childbirth. This method was called the “Golubchin method”.

To carry out the Golubchin method, the woman had to be in a supine position with her knees bent and her legs pressed to her chest. The doctor inserted a tube into the rectum and pumped a mixture of gases through it. The woman began to feel pain relief a few minutes after the procedure began.

The Golubchin method became very popular in the USSR in the 50-60s of the 20th century. However, it is not currently used due to its unsafety and lack of proven effectiveness.

The Golubchinsky method or Golubchina method is a kind of method of preparing for childbirth, developed by obstetrician-gynecologist S.B. Golubchin. This method is designed to help women who are afraid of childbirth or have some difficulties with the birth process to experience this period more calmly and naturally.

There are several versions of the origin of the name of the method and some of them claim that the method is named after the legendary surgeon Sergei Ivan Golubkin, who claimed that he developed a new method of cesarean section for women. However, in fact, Golubchin developed only the theory of this method.

One of the main principles of the Golubchinsky method is support and education. The method includes many lessons and practical activities aimed at helping women better understand what happens during childbirth and how to cope with the process. In addition, the method includes meditation and other stress-relieving techniques, which helps women be more prepared for childbirth and avoid the unwanted effects of stress.

The main principle of the method is that women should feel comfortable and confident in their abilities during the birth process. One of the tools of the method is support from loved ones, which allows a woman to feel more confidence and support. The method also uses a variety of educational materials about the birth process, including photographs, videos and books. The method may also include additional services from obstetricians or other specialists if necessary.

Co-author of the Golubchin method, co-owner is midwife Victoria Kuzmina, a former doctor of the highest category in the specialty “Obstetrician-gynecologist”, who has been working together with Sergei Borisenko for 23 years. She prepares women for childbirth and helps ensure a calm and favorable process. Victoria also believes that many women, especially expectant mothers, are terrified of pregnancy: they fear for their health and the health of the child, they have an incorrect idea of natural childbirth or have no idea at all how it will proceed.
