Gonocytoma

A gonocyte is a male reproductive cell, a sperm. Oma - "tumor". Consequently, gonocytoma is a tumor containing male germ cells, i.e. spermatocytes. The source for the formation of germinoma is the primary germ cells of the testicle in the embryo or hematogenously, after their migration into the testicular parenchyma. Testicular germinomas often also produce mature spermatogonia and spermatoids, as evidenced by the presence of Leydig cells, from which male hormones are formed, and penile papillae from the penis. However, germ cells are not always detected during the rut.
