Gonococcus

Gonococci (from the Greek “gonos” - genital organ - genitals; genus Neisseria).

Gonococcal infection is a disease caused by gonococci. It can be transmitted through sexual contact and childbirth and can affect both men and women. The disease occupies one of the leading places in the structure of sexually transmitted diseases. In most cases, infection with gonococcus occurs during sexual intercourse.
