Granulomas are chronic infections, often of bacterial origin, that occur as a result of infectious pathogens entering the body. This article discusses granuloma - one of the types of chronic infections that affect soft tissues and bones in the oral cavity. We often encounter granulosis as a symptom of certain diseases of the internal organs, but less often as an independent disease. In appearance, granulosis resembles a large, soft skin tumor with or without ulceration. At the same time, any causes of it are discovered, and targeted therapy is launched. Most often, granulosa-forming tissues are represented by granular, delimited foci. Borderline granulomas often occur, extending into adjacent healthy areas of teeth, tissues and mucous membranes. In the human body there is a fairly wide range of diseases characterized in this way. They can be caused mainly by fungal microorganisms, viruses, bacteria, Trichomonas, protozoa, as well as damage to this type of gland.
