Abdominal Hernia Internal

An abdominal hernia is an abnormal protrusion of internal organs outside the abdominal cavity through weak spots in the abdominal wall. This is a common surgical diagnosis that can lead to serious consequences for the patient's health.

An abdominal hernia can be classified depending on where the organ moves: o Hernias of the anterior abdominal wall are the most common manifestation of hernias. Hernias form above and below the navel.

• Ventral hernia (subcutaneous) occurs when the omentum moves at the umbilical ring. It is one of the most dangerous types of hernia manifestations. When diagnosing this pathology, surgical intervention should be carried out immediately upon presentation. Otherwise, the formation of a strangulated hernia is possible; o Hernias of the middle and lower abdomen. In these cases, the organs exit through the inguinal canal; • Bilateral inguinal hernia; o Familial hernia occurs as a result of connective tissue weakness. As a rule, this is a bilateral recurrent inguinal or femoral hernia, the symptoms of which increase by the third decade, appearing after each pregnancy.
