Hematoxylin (H3PO4) is a red pigment that is obtained from animal blood. It is used as a dye or in other fields of chemistry and science. Hematogen Weigert was first described by the German chemist Johann Gottlieb Weigardt in 1844.

Dosage

According to regulatory documents, hematogen dosages depend on the patient’s age:

Preschool children – 25 ml daily; Schoolchildren 7-10 years old – 50 ml once a day; Adolescents over 14 years of age and adults – up to 150 ml daily;
