Hemiopia

Hemiopia is a vision disorder in which a person sees only half of an object, usually in one eye. Although the full name of the pathology is hemianopia, the term hemiopia is simpler and more popular among the population. Unfortunately, this disease can appear at any age, but is more common in older people.

The cause of hemiopia is damage to the optic nerve of the eyes. This occurs due to various pathologies, such as:

- *Retinal disinsertion. As a result of this process, a person has poor vision in one eye, but normal vision in the other.*
