Hernia Spina

Hernia of the spinal membrane is one of the most common pathologies in neurosurgery. It is a pathological protrusion of the membranes of the spinal cord beyond its limits, most often through the dorsal root of the spinal nerve. This pathology requires an integrated approach to treatment.

The reasons for the development of this pathology may be different. The main risk factors include hereditary predisposition, spinal injuries, a sedentary lifestyle, as well as poor nutrition and excess weight. Clinically, this disease is manifested by pain in the back or leg, decreased sensitivity in the legs, and increased urination. Symptoms may also include hand tremors, muscle weakness, gait disturbance, and loss of balance. Sometimes paralysis and dysfunction of the pelvic organs may occur.

Treatment of a spinal canal hernia can be surgical or conservative
