Hippocampal gyrus

The hippocampal gyrus is a part of the brain that plays an important role in learning, memory and navigation. The hippocampus is located in the temporal lobe, just behind the temporal foramen.

This gyrus is crescent-shaped and contains several nuclei, which consist of a large number of nerve cells. The nucleus region contains synaptic connections between nerve cells, which allows information to be transmitted from one neuron to another.

The main function of the hippocamal gyrus is the formation of memory, maintaining stable orientation in space and coordinating the work of sensory sensations
