Stingrays

Stingrays

Stingrays (Dasyatidae), or sea devils, are a small subfamily of poisonous and predatory marine fish of the matte shark family. The stingray is also called the sea wasp. Its name is a reference to its description of its snout resembling that of a wasp. This subfamily translated from Greek means “armed with thorns.”

Description

Sea wits are represented only by females, since males have short and soft fins that are not suitable for hunting and defense. This gave these predators an advantage in the fight for survival. Color of sea finches
