Idea- is the first part of compound words, meaning “idea”, “thought”.

Comes from Lat. idea - idea, form, appearance.

It has been used in Russian since the 19th century.

Examples:

1. Ideocracy is a form of government in which state power is exercised not by the people, but by ideology, a political party, or the party in power.
2. An ideologist is a person who shares and promotes certain ideas.
3. Ideology is a system of views, ideas, concepts, expressed in the form of theoretically based views, beliefs, and ideals.
