Iliopsoas Vein

**Iliac Vein (iliacis)** is one of the large veins of the inner thigh.

The length of the superior epigastric vein is about 6 cm, the lower - 7 cm. The superior epigastric vein begins at the level of the navel and runs upward and inward, located on both sides of the pubic joint. At the level of the anterior superior iliac spine, the vein becomes common with the inferior epigastric vein. Together they form a common trunk of the epigastric veins. Below the external opening of the inguinal canal, the superior epigastric vein flows into the inferior epigastric vein, which is located along the anterior surface of the medial lip of the superficial inguinal ring. The testes are usually branches of either the superior or inferior common iliac veins. Some authors believe that they are branches of the iliac canal that flow deeper than the inguinal ring.
