Impetigo or bullous pemphigoid is a disease that is associated with the formation of blisters on the skin. It occurs when the skin is exposed to various factors, such as viruses, bacteria or chemicals.
Impetigo is one of the most common skin diseases. It can occur in different parts of the body, but most often affects the face, arms and legs. Bullous impetigo is characterized by the rapid appearance of fluid-filled blisters on the skin. These blisters may burst and cause a painful crust to form in their place. The disease may go away without treatment or require medical intervention to relieve symptoms.
