Indapressin is used to treat hypertension and chronic heart failure. The drug acts by reducing the volume of circulating blood and improving blood circulation in organs and tissues, which leads to a decrease in blood pressure.

Side effects of Indapressin may include weakness, orthostatic hypotension, hyperuricemia, hypokalemia, nausea, epigastric pain, diarrhea, cramps and allergic reactions.

Indapressin may interact with other drugs, enhancing the effect of antihypertensive drugs and increasing the risk of hypokalemia in the presence of potassium-sparing diuretics.

In case of an overdose of Indapressin, symptoms such as weakness, fluid and electrolyte imbalance, respiratory depression and hypotension may appear. Treatment includes correction of water and electrolyte balance and possible gastric lavage.

When prescribing Indapressin to patients with liver and kidney diseases, it is necessary to monitor the level of potassium in the blood. In patients with hyperuricemia, it is recommended to regularly determine the level of uric acid in the blood. Indapressin should not be combined with lithium preparations, vincamine and potassium-sparing diuretics.

Taking Indapressin may cause drowsiness, so it is not recommended to drive vehicles or engage in work that requires increased concentration.

In general, Indapressin is an effective drug for the treatment of arterial hypertension and chronic heart failure, but its use should only be carried out as prescribed by a doctor and under his supervision to avoid possible side effects and complications.
