Infantilism Intestinal

**Intestinal infantilism**

Intestinal infantilism refers to constipation in infants and one-year-old children. Unfortunately, this disease is becoming more common today. According to statistics, 25-30% of infants, and every tenth 4-year-old child experience such pain.

**In an infant this may manifest itself:**

1. hard lump in the tummy; 2. forced crying when going to the toilet; 3. children's whims and anxiety; 4. fatigue and headache; 5. moodiness and irritability. 6. in some cases – vomiting; 7. bloating and enlargement of the tummy; 8. discharge of green feces; 9. rare bowel movements or diarrhea.

A baby can wet diapers even during the day, but this already means the presence of infectious processes. And the same feces most often indicate intestinal inflammation or giardiasis. In this case, green feces may have white streaks; pediatrician Alexei Bessmertny calls this phenomenon “greenish coating.” With all due respect to pediatric doctors, we can say that the diagnosis of green stool is made incorrectly and unqualifiedly: in addition to Giardia in such stool, inflammation can also be caused by other infections and parasites that are simply not visible to the eye. How to correctly diagnose a child with strange greenish stool?

Why are diagnostics carried out using different methods during the examination, which lasts from 2 to 3 weeks? There can be many options, but the main one is the manifestation of pancreatitis, cholecystitis, and hepatitis. In addition, inflammation of the pancreas can occur even after taking the most harmless medications or foods. The reason is very simple: the function and structure of the pancreas can be impaired from birth, and besides, it is located next to the stomach and intestines. In any case, signs of intestinal disease appear after two to three days, which is why doctors take tests over time. It is important to remember that the body of an infant is a complex model of the entire future organism, so this phenomenon should not be tolerated under any circumstances. In order to clearly understand whether there is an infection in the child’s stool or not, it is better to take a detailed test in the same clinic, in the laboratory. There they will conduct extensive bacteriological studies to accurately confirm the disease. Without additional examinations, you cannot give your child a laxative, because this will only make things worse. First you need to establish the cause. If the baby is breastfed
