Infantilism Renal

Renal infantism (renal weakness) is a rare genetically determined congenital disease characterized by a functional disorder of the renal parenchyma, manifested in the form of chronic adrenal insufficiency.

The clinical manifestations are based on anatomical and physiological changes in the renal parenchyma. Patients develop uremic crises against the background of an increased urea content of more than 90 mmol/l, characterized by persistent proteinuria with normal hematocrit and sodium concentration in the extracellular space of the kidneys, pulmonary edema with air drainage of the right parts of the lungs with high mortality. Recurrent neoliguresis occurring with azotemia over long periods of time. Instability of blood pressure: the development of arterial hypertension, both at rest and in a situation that is easy to tolerate in young people (during sleep, after eating).
