Cancer cachexia

Cancer cachexia (Latin cachexia - exhaustion) is a severe form of general exhaustion of the body, which is based on a progressive deficiency of body weight caused by disruption of catabolic processes at the level of cells and tissues. Accompanied by weakness, dystrophic changes, disruption of the cardiovascular system and endocrine glands, as well as thrombocytopenia. Cachexia is based on pathological processes in the endocrine system, as well as a complex disruption of the functioning of other organs and systems of the body.
