Candidiasis Superficial

**Candidiasis** is a fungal infection caused by yeast-like fungi of the genus Candida. It can affect the skin, nails, mucous membranes and other tissues of the body. Candidiasis can be superficial or deep, depending on the location of the infection.

Candidiasis is a common infection that can be caused by various factors, including decreased immunity, long-term antibiotic treatment, poor diet, stress and other chronic diseases.

In superficial candidiasis, the infection affects the surface of the skin or mucous membranes, such as the mouth, genitals, or face. Symptoms may include redness, itching, and swelling of the affected area. In more severe forms of candidiasis, white or yellow films may form, which can lead to breakdown of the skin.

Treatment for superficial candida infections usually involves the use of topical antifungal medications such as creams or ointments. In some cases, systemic antifungal drugs may also be prescribed for
