Thiemann catheter

The Thiemann catheter is a medical device used to quickly restore patency of the respiratory system in patients with obstructive pulmonary diseases. It is an alternative to bronchoscopy and is used in cases where traditional treatment methods cannot be used.

The technology for creating the Timann catheter was developed relatively recently - in the late 1970s. Unlike the better-known Chike and Downs catheters, the Timann catheter is safe and does not cause severe complications, including bleeding and pneumothorax.
