Ovarian Keloid

Keldoid ovary (keloid ovary, ovarian keloid)

Keldoid ovaries are a rare disease that occurs due to disturbances in the formation of the ovarian cavity caused by impaired mitotic activity of cells. With a pathological response to therapy, cysts, adenomatous formations appear, locally penetrating fibromyomatous tissue and epithelioid cells that form a fibrous capsule capable of encapsulating the tumor focus into the surrounding tissue.

Etiology and pathogenesis

Typically, compaction caused by the formation of cysts is often accompanied by an abnormal stromal reaction associated with disorders of the body's resistance or comorbid pathologies. Most often, keladic ovaries form after surgery or after an infectious disease.
