Keratosis localis is a term used in dermatology to refer to a skin condition that appears as red or brown patches on the skin. These spots can come in different shapes and sizes and usually appear on the face, neck, chest, back or arms.
The reasons for the development of local keratosis can be different. One of the most common causes is heredity. If one of your relatives had similar diseases, then the likelihood of developing local keratosis increases. External factors such as exposure to sunlight, chemicals, infections or allergies also play a role.
